Seriously, you don't need a gimmicky gym filled with wannabe/has been coaches.

 

Pick shit up off the groud, put it overhead and squat it.

 

Eat lots if you want to gain weight, eat not so much to lose.

couldnt agree more on both counts, if they were moving any sort of decent weight, half of them would be in hospital!Edit - whats with the massive looking light plates and hollow bars also?

if crossfit ia as you say it is, i would have never joined my assosciated gym, i would have turned my back on them and laughed

 

i also do strongman and PL too, so form to me is of utmost importance.

I'll admit that not every crossfit gym is the same. If you're lucky then you've found a good gym run by a sensible coach with experience in other forms of training who can mould the chaos of crossfit into something workable.

 

When you say you do PL and SM, do you do it as part of crossfit or seperately, because there can be a big difference. You could end up with something retarded like this...

never do i mix it and play around with weights like a bunch of kids with down syndrome

dont f**king shoot down the way they are lifting that bar.

 

now... i know this from personal experience because i did compete in a strongman comp, you cannot grip a thick fat bar like you would a normal olympic bar... lack of hand grip forces you to do what they are doing... and yes.. you get it halfway up your chest and then you have to explode under it, catch it, then split jerk or whatever

 

now some of the technique was a lil shoddy in the sense the bar was not parallel to the ground at all times, and you want to attempt to maintain stability all round. but trust me.. it is definitely not easy.

 

and the fact that whoever was supervising doesnt no jack about someones limits and personal strength

 

but most of you wouldnt be able to bench this in your life let alone press it standing up...

 

respect the strong.

I'm aware that they are doing strongman style continental cleans, I compete in powerlifting but also train strongman style and will do my first SM comps later this year. I posted the vid to exhibit the f**king retarded things some crossfit coaches have their clients do. I respect the strong, I just don't respect fukctard coaching.
